Bye bye, Polaroid

I just read that polaroid isn’t making instant film anymore, which makes me sad since I’ve been toying with the idea of getting me an old-fashioned polaroid camera. How sad is that? I’ve never used a polaroid camera in my life and only know it from movies and such, but I like the idea. I’ve already checked ebay for the prices for Polaroid cameras, and now I guess there’s no point in getting one. How sad! I’m secretly hoping that there will be a niche for the film anyway and that maybe some offbrand will continue making the film… I really would like to have a polaroid camera.

Anyway, the same post linked to a Flicker image that shows someone scratching a Polaroid, so to speak, and also the fascinating result. I think it’s awesome.

*sniff*

Thanks for the link. Seemingly Polaroid may release a digital camera with a built in printer as previewed here: http://tinyurl.com/34eney

We had one at home. I wonder if it’s still there…

Well, you better find out quickly and then buy all the film you can get for it, because that’ll be the end of it. How sad. Then all that’ll be left will be a fake photoshopped imitation of the polaroid frame.
